My Bad Day

Yes it's been a while since I hae posted, and I do have a bit of catching up to do. I won't get the the actual title of this post til a bit later.

I hope everyone had a nice Mothers Day weekend. I sen my Mom a card that I was really happy about finding. WheneverI go to pick out a card, wether it be for a Birthday or anything I have to find a unique one that is funny. If you get a sappy mushy card from me, something is either really really wrong with me or, it wasn't acutally from me.

Mothers Day is the busiest day of the year for the resturaunt. This year it went much smoother than last year and I couldn't have ben happier. We all went out to Otter Lodge afterwards and partied it up for a quite a while. It was alot of fun.

Besides Mothers Day, May is our busiest month at work, there are graduations every weekend and the lilac festival was last week. We had our first bad night at work this past Saturday, and all the fingers were pointed at me. Being the person in charge, I wasn't surprised.
There really wasn't a problem, it was that the dinner rush lasted about an hour longer than usual and people got tired, and when people get tired they get fustrated easily and so on. We have such a good line and good guys working that we have run dinners week in and week out without any problems. So when one arose last weekend, it was a big deal. No one is used to it anymore.

So it was rough to be me the past week. And I exect everything to go as smooth and as pleasant as usual this weekend.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend to everyone, enjoy the race! I hope the weather is near perfect for everyone and their plans.

I am sorry to hear you had a crappy week at work. What was that bad where they were pointing fingers? I do have to say, the person in charge does have to step up and take it, and yes that sucks, but it is part of the position. But hopefully, you "team" will step up as our team does at work when we mess up and our boss gets it. I am very big on apologizing to my boss when i screw up...and usually I am apologizing before he even notices. Hope you weekend is a better one!
I will miss you this weekend, eating your portion of the fried chicken and drinking your beers while we are spread out in your seat. Oh, wait, maybe I won't be missing you!! That sounds pretty damn good! (you know I will be missing you)

I guess as long as you don't turn in to Gordon Ramsey from Hell's Kitchen all your guys should be fine, even if there are hiccups with service here and there.

Besides, I don't think you could pull off a British accent.
