Been a while....

Well I'm sorry I seem to have been neglecting my blog recently.

Well today is very cool, like in the 60's cool. Which is very nice change from the past week. I've felt so lazy recently because it seems all my energy is drained from work. The temperatures and the humidty made work very interesting. After a night at work I could ring the sweat out of my shirt if I so desired. So it's been raining for the past two days nearly, and I'm enjoying it :).

I've gotten into the habit of watching the new TV show 'Hells Kitchen;. Its on the FOX network at Nine o'Clock on Mondays. The outline of the show is, that they have twelve people, down to eight now, that are getting a chance to win their own resturaunt through this reality series where this Chef named Ramsey is putting them through hell, so to speak. I have no idea where they found this bunch of people for the show, most of them shouldnt even be there if you ask me. I'm sitting here watching it and just pulling my hair out and what some o the people are doing and saying, 'damn I would rock that'.

My Mom is at the Doctors now, so I'm going to do laundry and hopefully be back in time to catch her to see how the surgery went. Kelly couldnt sleep well last night. Mom was diagnosed with Melanoma(sp) and is getting the surgery to remove 99% of it. They would say 100% but they have to cover there asses. It was kinda weird to ehar about this with my Mom , My parents are so healthy and good that I never would imagine soething like this. Heck, I can't remeber either of them getting a little cold.

Let see, what else. Charlie is one year old now as of two weeks ago. Woo hooo. He has a vertical jump that would blow your mind. Hes gotten to the top of my wardrobe, and to the top of the entertainment unit in the living room. It's amazing, hes been eating his wheaties!

Shhhhhhhhh! Mom is sleeeeeeeeeping now! We shall know in a couple days.

Glad to hear it cooled off for you a bit. It is still pretty damn hot here! I would love a day in the 70's - I won't even try shooting for the 60's.

I hope everything went well for your Mom. I'll keep her in my thoughts.

She was diagnosed by the cancer surgeon to have Stage 0 Melanoma. That is the initial stage where the cancer has not yet spread. But, to be sure, they have to do a biopsy on the chunk of skin she had removed. It sounded like it was pretty large.

Note to all fair skinned family members (i.e. Kyle and Kelly) -- be aware that you need to take care of your skin, avoid sun burns and have all moles checked regularly. You may also want to check out www.melanoma.org
